Charlotte FC Vs Chelsea Lineups

Taking into account the recent past performance of both teams, it is safe to say that the game between the two will be a close one. But with both of these teams in contention for the title of the league, it is only a matter of time before the outcome will be known. And the fans are chomping at the bit to see how their team fare on the pitch.

Pre-season match schedule

CHARLOTTE FC vs Chelsea lineups are confirmed. The two American sides will go head to head on Wednesday, 20 July 2022 at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The upcoming match will be broadcast live on the Sony Pictures Sports Network, so be sure to watch it. The game will be a pre-season friendly between the two clubs.

It’s not surprising to see Charlotte FC come up with a new starting XI for the match. The club is in MLS and they’ve been through some tough times this season. Their last match was against Inter Miami. They lost 3-0.

They’re up for the challenge and want to win their second friendly against Chelsea. The team also had a tumultuous start to their pre-season tour. They had a 2-1 win over Club America on the weekend. They’re also on their way across the United States for the third leg of their pre-season tour.

Team squads

Despite the fact that Chelsea and Charlotte FC have not played each other in the United States, both sides will be travelling to the Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina for a friendly game on Wednesday, July 20. The match is not expected to be covered by television, but will be streamed on the club’s website and app.

After a win against Club America in Las Vegas, Chelsea have embarked on a North American pre-season tour, which will see them play two more friendly matches. One of these is against MLS side Charlotte FC. The team from Concacaf is currently eighth in the MLS standings. However, their last game against Inter Miami has been a loss, and they are not guaranteed a place in the round of 16.

Chelsea’s team is likely to include several players that are absent from the squad for the upcoming MLS season. In particular, Kalidou Koulibaly and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have not been included, and Timo Werner is also unavailable. The latter is reportedly nursing an injury.

Key players

CHARLOTTE FC vs Chelsea FC will be played on July 20 at Bank of America Stadium. It will be the first friendly match between the two teams. The match is scheduled to be aired on Sony Pictures Sports Network.

The game will be played under the guidance of interim head coach Christian Lattanzio. He has chosen a full strength team for the match.

The starting eleven for the match includes a variety of global superstars. One of them is American Christian Pulisic. He is a familiar face to most Premier League fans.

A lot of the focus will be on the attack. The midfield is also a hot topic. The three-man defensive line could include Frank Lampard, who is expected to work in the middle.

Aside from the attack, there is also a chance for young players to show their stuff and earn future playing time. For instance, Kerwin Vargas is eager to impress.

Midfield battle

Having lost their first MLS match to Inter Miami, Charlotte FC will look to bounce back with a friendly against Chelsea FC. These two clubs will battle at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

On paper, it looks like Chelsea are heavy favorites. But, that’s not to say that there isn’t any room for controversy. There are several notable players missing from Chelsea’s roster, including N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Marcus Bettinelli, and Adam Armour.

However, there are a couple of young talents that will start for the Blues against a familiar opponent. One of those is Ben Bender. The other is Mason Mount. Both are trying to win minutes in the attack.

The midfield is also a key area for the two teams. Charlotte will try to press hard on the Chelsea touches. They will be looking to win every ball.

The Chelsea players are expected to use a rotation system. They could also go with a different formation for each game.
