Who is Clove from the Hunger Games Clove from Hunger Games, 74th Hunger Games Tributes – Clove, Rue, Thresh, Marvel, and Haymitch
Clove from the Hunger Games is a cunning and ruthless teenager and District 2’s female tribute during Panem’s 74th Hunger Games. Clove from the Hunger Games shows incredible skill with throwing knives.
Clove from the Hunger Games almost kills Katniss before Thresh interferes and saves her life. Afterward, she has nightmares of Clove cutting her and turning into a mutt who licks her wound. That’s Clove from the Hunger Games.
Rue
Rue is Katniss’s best friend and one of her most important allies. She’s a 12-year-old girl from District 11 who was reaped as the female tribute for the 74th Hunger Games.
Rue was dressed up as a farmer to represent her district’s main industry: agriculture. In the training sessions, Rue showed her swift and silent abilities by swiping Cato’s knife. While he wasn’t looking and causing him to attack another tribute.
She’s described in the books as having “satiny brown skin and thick dark hair.” Many moviegoers were surprised that a young black actress was cast in the role. Which has led to a lot of racially insensitive comments on the Internet. A Tumblr called Hunger Games Tweets has been collecting those tweets and responding to them in an effort to address the issues.
Thresh
Thresh is a male tribute from District 11 and was reaped alongside Rue in the 74th Hunger Games. He’s a huge physical giant and rivals Cato for brute strength.
Katniss didn’t see Thresh much throughout the Games. It isn’t until Clove attacks her that she actually notices him.
Then, Clove taunts Katniss over Rue’s death, and Thresh overhears it and saves her.
Thresh then enacts vengeance on Clove, which he did after seeing her kill Rue and insult Katniss in front of him. He killed Clove off-screen, but later during the Victory Tour, Katniss and Peeta tell Rue’s story.
Cato
Cato was a tall, good-looking, and very physically strong tribute. He was also the leader of his pack and one of Katniss’s best friends during the games.
He was also a very skillful hunter, having killed off many tributes during the first bloodbath.
He is also known for his smile, as he is often seen flashing it at the camera. He is also the only career tribute to make it through the Third Quarter Quell, though he died in the process.
Glimmer
Clove was a tribute from District 2. She is known to be an expert knife-thrower, scoring a 10 in her private session.
In the 74th Hunger Games, she was one of Katniss’s most dangerous opponents. She survived the initial bloodbath and was the first tribute to come close to killing Katniss.
She was later killed by Thresh, who was the most physically powerful tribute in the Games. He was also one of the oldest contenders, which helped him survive through the end of the game.
At the feast, Clove attacked Katniss with a knife, pinning her down and taunting her about Rue’s death. When Thresh heard her scream, he brutally killed her.
Marvel
Marvel was a slick-looking District 12 male tribute who had the audacious claim to fame of being the first to survive the 74th Hunger Games. He was also the first to win the coveted prize or at least one of them. He wowed Katniss and the other contenders with his performance in the aforementioned mammoth main event. He was also the best yokel of the lot and boasted a hefty stipend.
He was the star of the show in the film and he was a big fan of the big screen (or in his case, the small screen). His biggest moment in the spotlight came when he won the aforementioned prize. For his performance in the aforementioned mammoth Main Event. He also awed Katniss and the other tributes with his display of military prowess, which led to him being referred to as the slayer for the rest of the film.
Haymitch Abernathy
Haymitch Abernathy is a paunchy middle-aged man who was a victor of the Hunger Games. He was a former tribute from District 12, but the loss of his family caused him to drink a lot.
He is often drunk and sarcastic, but he is also very tactical and observant. In the Second Quarter Quell, he used his knowledge of the arena to his advantage when facing off with one of the District 1 female tributes.
He dodged her ax and let it bounce off the force field. She eventually tried to kill him, but he held his intestines in as he crawled away from her, avoiding her axe and reaching a cliff.
